Haikus by Rashani

a nameless gopi

lost in each moment's worship

i bow to your heart

your gift is so vast

already the doors are gone

and soon, no more walls

all that will be left

will be the vast emptiness

that gives birth to life

darkness devours light

and light devours the darkness

only love remains

in the undoing

when nothing remains but grace

we are truly free

through the vast distance

these interwoven song lines

continue to sing

your conditioning

would have you believe in pain,

you Are the garden

the blooming garden

beyond all darkness and light,

whose fruit is your love

immense and tender

undefiled and radiant

ripened motherhood

who is feeling joy?

is it not sheer aliveness

dancing through our cells?

why label movement

or try to catch the ocean

in a small bucket?

 some cracks can't be filled

the canyons and abysses

that leave us hollow

on this new moon night

i walk naked in starlight

looking for Your face

deep as memory

more ancient than a light year

precious as prasad

what's come over me?

i was found dancing naked

in the moonless night

i offer to you

this divine ember of love

that has never died

somewhere between source

and the not yet manifest

we are healed and blessed

by fierceness and grace,

by benevolence and mud,

by your own beauty

i am only here

to be your sacred mirror,

to invite you Home

extinguished by grace

moonlight on a night moth's wing,

nectar of prasad

the ground of being

is fluidity itself

two rivers kissing

in pre-dawn darkness

the golden owls search for food

night blooming jasmine

sun filters through trees

birdsong sifts through the sunlight—

as my love, through space

six golden orchids

and a blooming cup of gold,

such love ev'rywhere

the broken finger

which once pointed at the moon

has become moonlight
